We pay close attention to body language, allow breaks when needed, and adjust our pace based on your cat’s comfort level. There is no rushing and no forcing — your cat’s emotional safety always comes first. Who is Zen Whiskers?
I’m Ivana — the hands and heart behind Zen Whiskers.
I’m a Fear Free® Certified Professional in both grooming and boarding, trained to reduce stress and help cats feel safe and comfortable. I’m also Feline Master Certified through the National Cat Groomers Institute, and certified through Apex Academy here in Regina.
I’ve loved animals my entire life and share my home with three adopted cats — Chip, Cheddar, and Cheeto — who inspire my work every day. I moved to Canada from Croatia 11 years ago, and I’m now a mom to two wonderful girls who share my love for animals.
Zen Whiskers began as a simple idea: to create a calm, cat-only space where every feline is understood, respected, and truly cared for. That vision has grown into a gentle, Fear Free® environment for grooming, boarding, and emotional well-being.
I’m also a human and animal Reiki practitioner, trained in the Let Animals Lead® method, and I’m currently expanding my skills with sound healing studies. My goal is to offer a peaceful, holistic experience where cats — and their people — can relax and feel supported.
Zen Whiskers is more than a service — it’s a sanctuary built with love, intention, and deep respect for every whiskered soul.
